Paola and Jessica’s Lost Gulch Overlook elopement in Boulder, Colorado, is high on my favorites list. These two were the sweetest ever, and it was truly such an honor to have been their Boulder elopement photographer! Not only were they both obviously head over heels for each other, but when you pair that with an intimate elopement at one of Colorado’s most beautiful overlooks, it’s bound to be a good one! From checking out Boulder Falls, the Lost Gulch Overlook ceremony and portraits, to dinner at a local Boulder restaurant, keep scrolling because I can’t wait to share more with you about their special day!
Before we made our way up for their Lost Gulch Overlook elopement ceremony, we started off at Boulder Falls. If you’re looking to add another romantic location to your Boulder, Colorado elopement, then this is such a dreamy spot! Hearing the sound of the rushing water is so romantic and it can be incredibly intimate. It also makes for an epic backdrop for your portraits! Who doesn’t love Waterfalls?!
After checking out Boulder Falls, we then drove over to Lost Gulch Overlook. Something I love about Lost Gulch Overlook is that it’s relatively easy to access views like this. Because of this, it makes Lost Gulch Overlook a pretty popular location for tourists and locals who want to take in the views. I definitely recommend coming on a weekday at sunrise, but sunset is still doable! Weekends tend to get busier especially with other photographers and tourists, but this is still my first pick for Boulder Elopement locations!
Paola and Jessica shared the sweetest and most heartfelt vows with one another leaving Jessica in tears. I was holding back tears myself. The sun shining down on them was perfect and felt like something out of a fairytale. If you’re looking for a gorgeous place for an intimate elopement where you can exchange vows with views like this, then Colorado is definitely the state you want to consider!
After their intimate Lost Gulch Overlook elopement ceremony, Paola and Jessica celebrated with a champagne popping! I love when I am able to bring some extra props for my Deluxe & Adventure Elopement couples for them to enjoy themselves together after their ceremony. Whether it’s champagne, a picnic, etc., it always adds so much to your photos! I highly recommend considering and thinking about props when planning out your Elopement. I am happy to help come up with ideas too!
After that, we also busted out the lanterns for some romantic portraits during sunset. I love how we were able to get such a variety to showcase their epic Boulder elopement in such a meaningful way. Paola told me that her favorite part about their Elopement was that it was just the two of them in the Mountains. It’s definitely why I love intimate elopements like this one, because it’s just an adventure of you two away from everyday life! 🙂
After the lanterns, we made our way back to the cars where they signed their marriage certificate, and then we got some blue hour photos with the jeep!
After their Lost Gulch Overlook elopement ceremony and portraits, we ended the day with a delicious dinner at River and Woods. I only stayed for a short while capturing a little bit of the tail end of their Elopement without overstaying their romantic dinner. The two of them ordered way too much and insisted that I eat some too! I tried to resist but the food there is AMAZING! Yes, I used my own name because WOW! Something cute they told me was that they talked about getting Taco Bell later that night and how it’s a thing they do a lot together. They love to just randomly go out in the middle of the night for Taco Bell runs. This foodie girl over here understands and I see why I was the perfect fit to be their Elopement Photographer! Well.. and the great photos too! 🙂
“Amazing did a great job with our photos!! She planned everything for us and even brought props. She really has an eye for great photos as we absolutely loved the ones she took of us! We had to change locations a few days prior due to weather and she knew exactly what places to go to. We had zero hiccups and an amazing time. I highly recommend her services.” -Paola
